Description
Designed for infection control and patient health information security, the KSI-2000 SX HCB-21 is a disinfectable, medical grade keyboard with integrated RFID card reader, Imprivata® Confirm ID compatibility, and our patented LinkSmart® clean keyboard button. Our covered keyboard features a smooth, crevice-free surface that discourages the collection of dirt and germs that accumulate beneath and around keys on a traditional keyboard.
A simple push of KSI’s LinkSmart® clean keyboard button is all it takes to temporarily disable keys while an end user disinfects the keyboard surface with germicidal wipes. San-a-Key® software’s onscreen, animated keyboard schematic guides keyboard disinfection until the entire surface is wiped clean. Hospital administrators can count on user-defined, scheduled cleaning options and pop-up reminders pushed to all desktops, to ensure KSI keyboards are kept clean 24/7/365. LinkSmart® with San-a-Key® offers an easy system that reinforces the need for cleaning vigilance — a better solution than waterproof keyboards that must be removed from service to be disinfected in a dishwasher.
The keyboard’s integrated rfIDEAS WaveID® Plus proximity card reader is compatible with Imprivata® OneSign and Confirm ID for multifactor authentication that is mission critical to protecting patient health information. The KSI-2000 SX HCB-21 provides the first factor of two-factor authentication for meeting DEA-mandated electronic prescription requirements using Imprivata® Confirm ID. Our proximity card reader now reads four credential types, an enhancement over our legacy -16 reader. Credential types can be prioritized according to administrator configuration needs.
