Description

Our full-sized 2000 series CodeRed downtime workstation keyboard offers a strong visual cue that a workstation is a designated downtime workstation, used in instances of power outage and scheduled server maintenance.  Clinicians are able to easily identify which workstations IT has designated as downtime workstations.

Designed for infection control and patient health information security, the KSI-2000 SX HCFFFB-21 RED is a hospital-grade, disinfectable keyboard with integrated proximity card reader, biometric fingerprint sensor, our patented LinkSmart® cleaning button, and Imprivata® Confirm ID compatibility.  Our covered keyboard features a smooth, crevice-free surface that discourages the collection of dirt and germs that accumulate beneath and around keys on a traditional keyboard.

A simple push of KSI’s LinkSmart® cleaning button is all it takes to temporarily disable keys while an end user disinfects the keyboard surface.  San-a-Key® software’s onscreen, animated keyboard schematic then guides keyboard cleaning until the entire surface is clean.   Hospital administrators can count on user-defined, scheduled cleaning options and pop-up reminders pushed to all desktops to ensure KSI keyboards are kept clean 24/7.  LinkSmart® keyboards offer an easy system that reinforces the need for cleaning vigilance — a better solution than waterproof keyboards that must be removed from service to be disinfected in a dishwasher.

The keyboard’s integrated rf IDEAS WaveID® Plus proximity card reader and HID® biometric fingerprint reader are compatible with Imprivata® OneSign and Confirm ID authentication platforms that are mission critical to protecting patient health information.  The KSI-2000 SX HCFFFB-21 RED provides the first factor of two-factor authentication for meeting DEA-mandated electronic prescription requirements using Imprivata® Confirm ID.  Our proximity card reader now reads four credential types, an enhancement over our legacy -16 product line.  Credential types can be configured in the specific priority order you choose.
