Description

Designed for infection control and patient health information security, the KSI-2000 SX HFFFB-21 is a disinfectable, medical grade keyboard with integrated RFID card reader, biometric fingerprint sensor, and our patented LinkSmart® clean keyboard button.  Our fully-covered keyboard features a smooth, crevice-free surface that discourages the collection of dirt and germs that, on a traditional keyboard, would accumulate beneath and around keys.

A simple push of KSI’s LinkSmart® clean keyboard button is all it takes to temporarily disable keys while an end user disinfects the keyboard surface with germicidal wipes.  San-a-Key® software’s onscreen, animated keyboard schematic guides keyboard disinfection until the entire surface is wiped clean.  Hospital administrators can count on user-defined, scheduled cleaning options and pop-up reminders pushed to all desktops, to ensure KSI keyboards are kept clean 24/7/365.  LinkSmart® with San-a-Key® offers an easy system that reinforces the need for cleaning vigilance — a better solution than waterproof keyboards that must be removed from service to be disinfected in a dishwasher.

The keyboard’s integrated rf IDEAS Wave ID® Plus proximity card reader and HID® Crossmatch® biometric fingerprint reader are compatible with Imprivata® OneSign and other leading healthcare SSOs.   Together they secure the desktop with multifactor authentication that is mission critical to protecting patient health information.  The KSI-2000 SX HFFFB-21 provides the first factor of two-factor authentication for meeting DEA-mandated electronic prescription requirements.
