Description
Designed for infection control and patient health information security, the KSI-1700 SX HFFFB-21 is a disinfectable, medical-grade keyboard with integrated RFID card reader, biometric security, and our patented LinkSmart® clean keyboard button. Our keyboard features a durable surface with low-profile keys that discourage the collection of dirt and germs beneath and around keys.
A simple push of KSI’s LinkSmart® clean keyboard button is all it takes to temporarily disable keys while an end user disinfects the keyboard surface with germicidal wipes. San-a-Key® software’s onscreen, animated keyboard schematic then guides keyboard disinfection until the entire surface is wiped clean. Hospital administrators can count on user-defined, scheduled cleaning options and pop-up reminders pushed to all desktops, that ensure KSI keyboards are kept clean 24/7/365. LinkSmart® with San-a-Key® offers an easy system that reinforces the need for cleaning vigilance — a better solution than waterproof keyboards that must be removed from service to be disinfected in a dishwasher.
The keyboard’s integrated rf IDEAS WaveID® Plus proximity card reader and HID® biometric fingerprint reader are compatible with leading healthcare single sign on solutions, including Imprivata®, HealthCast, Identity Automation, and many more. Together they secure the desktop with multifactor authentication that is mission critical to protecting patient health information. The KSI-1700 SX HFFFB-21 is ePrescribe ready.
The rf IDEAS Wave ID® Plus proximity card reader now reads four credential types, an enhancement over our legacy -16 product line. Credential types can be configured in the specific priority order you choose.
